Commands

Seiretsu – Line up according to rank

Chakuza – Sit down in seiza (kneeling)

Ki-o-tsuke – Attention (sit up straight, palms on lap)

Mokuso – Meditation (breathe through your nose, hands together with fingers overlapping and thumbs touching)

Shomen-ni – To the front of the dojo

Sensei-ni – To the sensei

Otagai ni – To each other

Rei – Bow

Men-tsuke – Put on men (head protector)

Men-o-tore – Remove men (head protector)

Kamae-te – Assume basic stance

Sonkyo – Squatting position

Osame-to – From sonkyo, returning shinai to the left hand
